ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police in Albuquerque say a motorcyclist has died after colliding with a vehicle.

Authorities say the incident happened Thursday shortly before 4:30 p.m. near Central Avenue and Richmond.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling on Central when his motorcycle rear-ended a car.

The man was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene from his injuries.

Police spokesman Daren DeAguero says the speed at which the motorcyclist was driving appears to have been a factor.

The man’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
