PHOENIX (AP) - Police in Phoenix say a man has died after being shot several times outside a home in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Authorities say officers found the man Friday around 1 a.m. near 59th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard on a sidewalk.

The victim had between four and five gunshot wounds.

The man, in his early 20s, was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

A witness told police that someone fired shots from a vehicle.



No suspects have been identified.

The shooting remains under investigation.
