SYDNEY (AP) - The Western Sydney Wanderers moved three points clear in first place in the A-League after a contentious scoreless home draw with Adelaide United on Friday.

The draw extended the Wanderers’ unbeaten run to 10 matches, while the seventh-place Reds have extended their unbeaten streak to five games.

There was a disallowed Wanderers goal, multiple penalty appeals and several excellent saves, but neither side could break the deadlock.

On Thursday, Central Coast opened the 13th round by winning for only the second time this season, beating the Wellington Phoenix 3-1.

On Saturday, second-place Brisbane can go level on points with the Wanderers when the Roar host Perth, while third-place Melbourne City plays fourth-place Sydney FC.

City and Sydney trail the Wanderers by seven points.
