BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Incoming Gov. John Bel Edwards has three main events for his Inauguration Day festivities, though only the ceremony is open to the public. A mass and a black-tie ball also scheduled for Monday were invitation only. A look at the day of events:

-8 a.m.: Inaugural mass at a cathedral in downtown Baton Rouge. Invitation only.

-9:30 a.m.: Pre-inaugural ceremony begins on the Louisiana State Capitol steps.

-10 a.m.: The House and Senate convene their organizational session, in which each chamber will elect its leadership.

-11:30 a.m.: Inaugural ceremony begins on the Louisiana State Capitol steps.



-11:45 a.m.: Statewide elected officials besides the governor take their oaths of office.

-Noon: Edwards is sworn into office and delivers his inaugural address.

-7 p.m.: Inaugural ball at Celtic Studios in Baton Rouge. Invitation only.
