DILLINER, Pa. (AP) - A 70-year-old Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges he hid his 29-year-old son while the younger man was wanted by the state police for allegedly helping another brother escape from a county jail.

Hodge Hanlan, of Dunkard Township, faces a preliminary hearing Wednesday on two counts of hindering the apprehension of his son, Shane Hanlan.

Shane Hanlan was arrested at his father’s home last Wednesday night. Police say Hodge Hanlan told them he didn’t know where his son was earlier in the day, but they returned to find him sleeping on a couch near his father.

Shane and two siblings, 21-year-old Clinton Hanlan and 23-year-old Vanessa are charged with helping a fourth sibling, Waylon Hodge Hanlan, escape from the Greene County jail on Dec. 27.

None of the Hanlans have attorneys listed in online court records.
