JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Police in Jacksonville say a patrol car stolen by a prisoner being transported to jail has been recovered.

Police told reporters that 25-year-old Alyssa Brooke Harrison of Sherwood was handcuffed in the back seat of the car Monday when the officer stopped to help a person who appeared to be about to jump from the Interstate 30 bridge.

Police say Harrison slipped out of the handcuffs, got into the front seat and drove away. The patrol car was spotted in Little Rock by police who chased it into Cammack Village where the car was stopped and Harrison was arrested.

Harrison was arrested early Monday after giving an officer a false name during a traffic stop. She’s now jailed on additional charges of theft of property, criminal mischief, fleeing, reckless driving and escape.
