CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Forward Alan Gordon has re-signed with the LA Galaxy.

The MLS club didn’t disclose terms of the deal announced Monday.

Gordon has been a valuable goal-scorer during his career with the Galaxy, which extends through two stints over parts of nine MLS seasons. He scored 10 goals over the previous two seasons while helping the Galaxy’s run to the 2014 MLS Cup title.

The Long Beach native began his MLS career with the Galaxy from 2004-10, scoring 16 goals in 80 appearances and winning the 2005 MLS Cup title.

Gordon went to Chivas USA, Toronto FC and the San Jose Earthquakes before returning to the Galaxy in August 2014. He has been a valuable substitute in the Galaxy’s star-studded lineup since his return, frequently providing instant offense in place of former league MVP Robbie Keane.

Gordon also was called up to the U.S. national team last year. He played in the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament last year and was named to the roster for two 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
