NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week for his performances in games against Kansas and Kansas State.

Monday’s announcement by the conference marks the third time this season and the fifth time in Hield’s career at OU that he’s been named conference Player of the Week.

Hield averaged 38.5 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the two games while also making two steals and blocking two shots.

He scored a career-high 46 points in a 109-106 triple-overtime loss at Kansas and followed with 31 points in an 86-76 victory over K-State.
