SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a 24-year-old woman on an attempted murder charge after police arrested her on suspicion of stabbing her husband in the chest after an argument.

The Argus Leader reports (https://argusne.ws/1ZgSnkr ) that Mirna Leticia Bolvito has been indicted on a charge of first-degree attempted murder and four alternate counts of aggravated assault.

Police say officers were called to their home on Dec. 31 just after 1 a.m. as the couple was having an argument over a television. Police Lt. Dave McIntire says that when the husband tried to stop his wife from scratching his vehicle with a knife, she stabbed him once in the chest. The 30-year-old man called police and was hospitalized.

A message left for Mike Miller, Bolvito’s court-appointed attorney, was not immediately returned.
