LAKE ORION, Mich. (AP) - Two people have been caught on surveillance video stealing nearly 180 bottles of fingernail polish from an Oakland County pharmacy.

The Oakland Press in Pontiac (bit.ly/1OpvpT5) reports Tuesday that the value of the stolen polish is believed to be about $1,600.

Police say the manager of a CVS store in Lake Orion reported the thefts Friday after discovering a large amount of nail polish was missing.

Store video shows a woman putting bottles of polish into a purse on Thursday and on Dec. 26.

Lake Orion is northwest of Detroit.

Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh tells the newspaper that CVS stores in Florida and some other states are being targeted by nail polish thieves.

Narsh says the stolen polish is sold to home-based salons.
