MONTROSE, Iowa (AP) - Three people were found dead and one was injured in a mobile home fire in the southeast Iowa city of Montrose.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Department says firefighters on Monday afternoon found the mobile home engulfed in flames.

The Fort Madison Daily Democrat (https://bit.ly/1TSGaB6 ) reports 33-year-old Jacob Glen Russell escaped the fire with severe burns and wounds. He has been transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Three others were found dead in the mobile home. The Iowa State Fire Marshal’s office declined to release the names until relatives were notified and autopsies were complete.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
