WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser is launching a new way for city residents to gather data about what the government is up to.

On Tuesday, Bowser will detail her administration’s plan to make District data and code available to the public online for review and analysis.

The Democratic mayor will also name a new chief technology officer for the city. David Bishop has been filling that role on an interim basis.
