RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Former NBA player Antawn Jamison and Stanley Cup champion Rod Brind’Amour headline the newest group of electees to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.

The Hall announced its Class of 2016 on Tuesday. It also includes former NFL player Haywood Jeffires, basketball players Eric “Sleepy” Floyd and Freddy Johnson, women’s basketball player Susan Yow, swimmer David Fox, baseball player James “Rabbit” Fulghum and driver Ray Price.

They will be inducted in May.

Jamison was the national college player of the year at North Carolina in 1998 before beginning a 16-year NBA career in which he made two All-Star teams. Brind’Amour was the captain of the Cup-winning Carolina Hurricanes team in 2006. Jeffires made three Pro Bowls during a 10-year NFL career.
