BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore Police have charged a man with murder in the death of his 2-year-old daughter.
Officers were called to a home about 3:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of a child who was not breathing, the department said in a news release. Police found Katrina Jennings in a bedroom with her father, 30-year-old Michael Jennings.
Investigators say the child was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to a hospital. Police say the child had bruises on her face, and an autopsy ruled the death was a homicide.
Detectives say Jennings admitted that he grabbed Katrina around her neck, but police say her injuries were more excessive.
Jennings is charged with first- and second-degree murder and is being held without bail. Online court records do not list a lawyer for him.
