FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of the man who was killed after a Central California party ended with a fight involving more than 30 people.
The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/1nflbhx ) Tuesday that that the Fresno County Coroner’s office said Monday that 57-year-old Guy Birrenkott, of Friant, is the man who died. Fresno police say Birrenkott owned the house and was trying to shut down the party when violence broke out.
Police Chief Jerry Dyer said Monday that a cause of death won’t be known without the results of lab work that could take up to eight weeks.
Witnesses have not come forward with information about what happened early Sunday.
Birrenkott was found on his lawn not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A teen boy was also found bleeding from the head. His condition was not available Tuesday.
