PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for sex trafficking.

The Oregonian reports ( ) that Charles Douglas Miguel previously pleaded guilty to transporting women across state lines for the purpose of prostitution and witness intimidation.

Prosecutors say Miguel moved women around Oregon, California, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia to engage in prostitution for his financial benefit. They say he frequently beat and intimidated the women working for him.
