HASKELL, Ark. (AP) - State highway officials say a portion of Interstate 30 is shut down in Saline County after a truck carrying ammunition for handguns overturned on the road.

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says the truck overturned at about 1 a.m. Tuesday near Haskell. Highway department spokesman Danny Straessle tells Little Rock television station KTHV (https://https://bit.ly/1SLQpbY ) that the truck’s cargo is considered a hazardous material.

Straessle says the westbound lanes of the interstate will be closed for several hours Tuesday morning as cleanup continues. Traffic is being detoured onto U.S. 67.
