DUBOIS, Pa. (AP) - The state Department of Transportation has dropped the speed limit on Interstate 80 in western Pennsylvania, after closing two stretches of the westbound highway due to snow-related crashes.

The snowy weather has prompted PennDOT to drop the speed limit to 45 mph between Exit 45 at Emlenton and Exit 97 at Dubois.

State police have also closed the westbound lanes between the DuBois exit and Exit 90 due to a crash. Details of the accident weren’t immediately available, but PennDOT says the road should remain closed until sometime Tuesday afternoon.

PennDOT had earlier closed the westbound lanes between Exit 101 and Exit 111 due to a multi-vehicle crash. That was reported about 9:15 a.m. and the westbound lanes in that area remained closed.

No injuries have been reported.

This story has been corrected to note that westbound lane closure caused by multi-vehicle accident remains in effect.
