CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) - The FBI is digging up the front lawn of a home in a residential Cromwell neighborhood, but the bureau has yet to reveal why.

Cromwell police said on Tuesday that they’re working with the FBI in an ongoing investigation. They say this is an isolated case and there’s no threat to the public.

The FBI said no other details will be released.

The Hartford Courant reports that the home once belonged to former Hartford police officer Julio Camacho, whose 21-year-old girlfriend Rosa Delgado and their 4-year-old daughter Rosita disappeared in 1997.

Delgado’s headless, handless body was found a year later in a northern New Jersey lake. The child was never found.

No one has been charged in connection with the disappearances.
