WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have found the body of a concrete truck driver who went missing after his vehicle fell into a river following a two-truck collision on a bridge.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a news release that the body of 66-year-old Lonnie Phillips of Shorter was discovered inside the cab of the truck by search crews in the Tallapoosa River on Monday afternoon near the Emerald Mountain Toll Bridge in Wetumpka.

Authorities had been searching for Phillips since his vehicle collided with another truck early Saturday, forcing Phillips’ vehicle over the bridge’s embankment.

The second driver received injuries that were not life-threatening.
