BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Republican members of North Dakota’s congressional delegation say President Barack Obama needs to do more to work with Congress.

Obama gave his final State of the Union speech Tuesday night, using it to summon an affirmative vision of his administration and for the future.

Republican North Dakota Congressman Kevin Cramer called the speech a “liberal pep rally,” and GOP Sen. John Hoeven said Obama needs to work with Congress “on initiatives that empower the American people.”

Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp said Obama called on the nation to look ahead “and work together as North Dakotans do.”
