WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says a 26-year-old Wilmington woman is under arrest after she led troopers on a short vehicle pursuit.

State Police said in a statement that on Tuesday night around 10:30 p.m. a trooper attempted to stop the driver of a Hyundai Sonata for a registration violation. State Police say the trooper activated his emergency lights but the vehicle failed to stop. State Police say the driver, Andrea G. Devine of Wilmington, led the trooper on a short pursuit and then lost control of her car and struck a fabric store on Newport Gap Pike. State Police say Devine was not injured and was taken into custody.

She faces charges including disregarding a police officer’s signal. Attempts to reach Devine or her family for comment were unsuccessful.
