JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - A state autopsy report concludes that a Madison County jail inmate who died in November hanged himself.

The Jackson Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1SkaJBZ) 29-year-old Timothy Lusby was found dead in his cell Nov. 12 with a bed sheet around his neck. The sheet was attached to a vent grate in the ceiling.

The autopsy report says Lusby had a known history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and depression.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tom Mapes says Lusby’s death is still under investigation. Sheriff John Mehr previously said Lusby wasn’t on suicide watch.

Lusby’s sister, Candy Lusby, disputes the autopsy report and says the Sheriff’s Office should be held responsible for her brother’s death.

Timothy Lusby had been arrested by Jackson police on several charges, including aggravated assault and evading arrest.
