COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A Columbia man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to human trafficking charges.

Attorney Gen. Alan Wilson says in a news release that 23-year-old Kristopher Block pleaded guilty Wednesday in Richland County General Sessions Court to criminal sexual conduct with a minor and human trafficking of a minor.

Block was arrested after authorities they found an exploited minor in a Columbia motel in December 2014. Investigators say Block admitted to taking photos of the victim and advertising her for sale on the Internet.

Upon his release from prison, Block must register as a sex offender and undergo lifetime electronic monitoring. Wilson said Block’s case is the third human trafficking conviction under the state’s 2012 revised human trafficking law.
