BALTIMORE (AP) - Third baseman Manny Machado, pitcher Chris Tillman, outfielder Mark Trumbo and six others have agreed to contracts with the Baltimore Orioles, avoiding arbitration.

Machado will receive $5 million in 2016 under Friday’s deal, a significant jump from his $573,000 salary last year. The 23-year-old hit .286 with 35 homers and 86 RBIs in 162 games in 2015.

Tillman agreed to $6,225,000 and can earn $25,000 each for 180, 190 and 200 innings.

Right-hander Miguel Gonzalez and utility player Ryan Flaherty also agreed to terms on Friday, a day after reliever Brad Brach reached an agreement.

Gonzalez is slated to receive $5.1 million this year and Flaherty will get $1.5 million. Trumbo, obtained in a trade with Seattle in December, agreed to a $9.15 million contract and Brach signed off on a $1.25 million deal.

Closer Zach Britton and reliever Brad Matusz are remaining Orioles in arbitration.

Britton is seeking $7.9 million and the Orioles are offering $5.6 million. He made $3,525,000 in 2015.

Matusz, a left-handed specialist, is asking for $4.4 million. The Orioles are offering $3.5 million - $300,000 more than he made last year.
