JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Officials say a box truck and light rail train collided in downtown Jersey City, leaving six train passengers injured.

New Jersey Transit says the collision occurred just before 7 a.m. Monday. The agency says the train hit the back of the truck after the truck moved onto the southbound tracks when the train had the right of way.

There were 38 people aboard the train at the time. Six of them were treated for minor injuries.

The name of box truck driver was not released.

The accident caused minor travel delays in the area while the accident was under investigation.
