TYLER, Texas (AP) - Police say a man was shot in the arm after confronting three people who were in the process of burglarizing his vehicle an East Texas restaurant parking lot.

Tyler police say all three suspects in the Monday night shooting were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

Police say the 39-year-old victim heard his vehicle’s alarm while eating at a restaurant. When he went to see what was happening, he confronted the three suspects.

Police say that as the suspects drove away, one of the passengers shot at the victim, hitting him once.

The suspects’ vehicle was later stopped by Kilgore police. Tyler police say stolen property from the victim’s vehicle was found inside the suspects’ vehicle, along with several firearms.

The man shot was treated at a hospital and released.
