SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a teenager was hit by a train and killed about 20 miles north of New York City.

A Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokeswoman tells The Journal News that the 16-year-old boy walked in front of the train Monday afternoon in Sleepy Hollow. It happened near the Philipse Manor Metro-North station.

The youth is not being identified until his family can be notified.

The MTA says no delays were reported on the Hudson Line as of Monday night.

Police are investigating.
