CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - Jaylen Franklin scored five of his 13 points in the final minutes and Duran Porter made two free throws in the closing seconds as Abilene Christian held off Central Arkansas 62-61 on Saturday night.

Central Arkansas got the final shot, but Jordan Howard’s trey caromed off the backboard as time expired.

Porter made just 3 of 10 field goals but made all four free throws offered and grabbed 10 rebounds for Abilene Christian (6-8, 1-0 Southland Conference), which won back-to-back games for the first time since opening the season 2-0.

Jaren Lewis led the Wildcats with 14 points.

Central Arkansas (1-10, 0-1), playing just its second home game this season, outshot the Wildcats 41 percent to 38 percent but Abilene Christian was 16 of 19 from the line while the Bears converted just half of their 22 free throws.

Howard finished with 18 points for Central Arkansas.
