ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Bernalillo County authorities have identified a man found dead inside a home.

Sgt. Aaron Williamson of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department says investigators believe 60-year-old Floyd Mascarenas was a victim of a homicide.

Deputies were called to a residence around 10 p.m. Thursday.

They discovered Mascarenas with trauma to his upper body.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead.

Williamson did not disclose details about the victim’s injuries.

He says detectives are still trying to determine possible suspects and a motive.

An autopsy will be conducted to figure out the official cause of death.
