HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Police say the body of woman pulled from her overturned sport utility vehicle in a creek has died.

Hoover police Capt. Gregg Rector tells the Al.com (https://bit.ly/1SsLEnL ) that the body of 37-year-old Audrey Deanna Armstrong of Calera was found Friday morning. Rector says Armstrong’s SUV left the roadway and traveled into the median and down a ravine, which was heavily wooded.

Executive Officer Rusty Lowe says Armstrong had been ejected and was partially pinned underneath her vehicle. Lowe says a police officer and bystanders were helping to hold her head about water.

Armstrong was taken to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Rector says authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
