JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Crews have repaired a broken water main that left several streets in Jersey City flooded.

The 12-inch main broke Friday in the area of Culver and West Side avenues. Some roadways in that area remained closed as the work continued into Saturday morning, but no major travel problems were being reported.

Officials say crews had the flooding under control, and a shuttered stretch of West Side Avenue will likely be reopened late Sunday afternoon once paving is completed.

The cause of the break remains under investigation.

Officials have said that only three businesses were still being affected by the break on Saturday. But some residents in the area said they also didn’t have access to water.
