OREM, Utah (AP) - Marcel Davis scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Jaden Jackson added 19 points, and Utah Valley led by as many as 25 points in the second half to beat San Diego Christian 88-79 on Saturday night.

Davis finished 7 of 12 from the field and 5 of 7 on free throws for Utah Valley (6-9), which snapped a three-game losing streak.

San Diego Christian, an NAIA school, started 6 of 9 and raced to a 14-6 lead in the first five minutes. But the Hawks scored just two points in a 5:25 span later in the first half, and the Wolverines led by as many as nine before settling for an eight-point halftime lead.

Another run in the second half saw Utah Valley grow its lead to 25 with 9:16 left before San Diego Christian battled back to single digits with 2:07 remaining.

Daniel Nielsen led the Hawks with 19 points.
