SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Egidijus Mockevicius scored 21 points and tied a career-high with 21 rebounds and Evansville handled Missouri State 76-59 on Saturday.

Mockevicius was 6 of 7 from the floor and 9 of 10 from the line as the Purple Aces (13-2, 2-0 Missouri Valley) shot nearly 55 percent. D.J. Balentine scored 19 points and Adam Wing added 15 points and five assists.

Chris Kendrix scored 16 points for Missouri State (4-10, 0-2). Dequon Miller had 14 points and Jarred Dixon added 10.

Evansville went 6:31 without a basket in the first half and trailed 30-27 at intermission.

Balentine’s jumper early in the second half tied it at 36, which started a seven-point spurt for Evansville.

The Purple Aces used a 20-0 run midway through the frame to take control. Mockevicius’ jumper with 5:47 left made it 64-43.
