LAS VEGAS (AP) - No one was injured after a Las Vegas police vehicle slammed into a wall at a high school while chasing a suspect.

Police say officers were in pursuit of a suspect Friday when the suspect fled into the parking lot of Clark High School around 10:50 a.m.

According to police, an officer lost control of the vehicle and hit a wall.

No officers were hurt but the suspect managed to escape.

The impact of the crash was loud enough to wake up some nearby residents.

Authorities spent several hours cleaning up the scene.

There were no students or staff at the school, which was closed for the holiday break.

Police did not disclose why they were chasing the suspect.
