ROY, Utah (AP) - A reception hall in Roy popular for weddings has been shut down following the owner’s arrest for fraud.

KUTV in Salt Lake City reports (https://bit.ly/1PDvdlS) that the Davis County Sheriff’s office arrested Anthony James Consolo, owner of Tuscany Gardens, earlier this week.

Authorities say a Washington state man alleges that someone used his name to take out two loans totaling $14,000.

Sgt. DeAnn Servey says an address attached to the loans led investigators to Consolo.

Servey says a search of a storage facility owned by Consolo turned up evidence of multiple fraud and identity theft victims.

It was not known Saturday if Consolo had an attorney.

The venue had bookings including a wedding Jan. 9.

The hall’s previous owner is offering a discount to affected couples at another venue.
