RINGWOOD, N.J. (AP) - Scientists say a small earthquake has hit in northern New Jersey.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-2.07 quake hit just before 1 a.m. Saturday, roughly 2 miles northwest of Ringwood. Officials say it could be felt in Mahwah and in some towns in New York’s Rockland County.

Authorities say there are no reports of damage or injuries.

Officials say smaller earthquakes are felt in the region every few years.
