LORETTO, Pa. (AP) - Greg Brown scored 19 points and St. Francis (Pa.) took a 73-65 decision over Wagner in a Northeast Conference opener on Saturday.

Brown was 7 of 14 from the floor and 5 of 7 at the line as the Red Flash (5-7) shot 50 percent (26 of 52) as a team. Basil Thompson scored 14 points, Isaiah Blackmon and Ronnie Drinnon had 12 points apiece and Ben Millaud-Meunier added 10.

Mike Aaman scored 16 points on 8-of-8 shooting to pace Wagner (7-5). Corey Henson had 12 points and Michael Carey added 11.

St. Francis used a 9-2 run midway through the first half to build a 31-25 lead at intermission.

Carey’s layup with 9:53 left made it a one-point game, but the Red Flash scored the next six points - including a 3-pointer by Drinnon - and kept Wagner at arm’s length down the stretch.
