GRANBURY, Texas (AP) - An 8-month-old zebra’s owners have found the animal after it was spotted on property near a North Texas highway.

KTVT reports (https://cbsloc.al/1RgGdav ) that Zulu the Zebra was spotted Friday afternoon south of Granbury, about 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth. Whitni Graves tells the television station she watched Zulu hopped a neighbor’s fence and grazed on her property for a time.

While her toddler and a neighbor’s son admired the zebra, the sheriff’s office worked to locate its owner.

It turned out Zulu had made it out of an open gate on a property less than a mile away.

Zulu remains with the Graves while its owners figure out a way to get the zebra home.
