AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Aurora police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured on Friday.

Police say they were notified of a shooting and found a man in a vehicle who hit a tree and had a gunshot wound. The man later died.

A second man came up to officers and said he had also been shot. He has non-life-threatening injuries.

As a precaution, police put an elementary school and a middle school on security alert. The alert was later lifted and police said no one else is believed to be involved.

The victims have not been identified.
