FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Federal Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has appointed a Fargo woman to serve on the U.S. Department of Agriculture Grain Inspection Advisory Committee.

North Dakota Grain Inspection project manager Kia Mikesh is among four newly appointed members from around the country who will serve 3-year terms on the committee.

The committee advises the agriculture secretary and the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration on the programs and services it delivers under the U.S. Grain Standards Act.

This story has been corrected to show that Mikesh is a woman.
