BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake says parking is banned on snow emergency routes as a potentially lethal blizzard hit the city.

Rawlings-Blake emphasized at a Friday afternoon news conference that residents should stay inside and off the roads for the duration of the storm.

Cars without snow tires, chains or all-weather radials are banned in the city during the storm, the mayor says.

Residents should also be prepared for power outages, the mayor said.
