WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) - Prosecutors in suburban New York City say a husband stabbed his pediatrician wife at least 21 times in the shower of their multi-million dollar home
An assistant district attorney claimed in a Westchester County court Friday that Julius Reich then smoked a cigarette in the kitchen before calling 911.
Reich has been charged with second-degree murder in Dr. Robin Goldman’s death.
The Journal News reports (https://lohud.us/1ZSCZR9 ) that Reich’s attorney cited his client’s good reputation in asking a judge that he be allowed to surrender his passport and be freed on $150,000 bail.
A judge instead ordered the 61-year-old tax lawyer to jail.
The 58-year-old Goldman was found dead on Wednesday in a five-bedroom, four-bath property on 1.29 acres in tony Scarsdale.
Records show Reich had petitioned for divorce in August.
