LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Police in suburban Denver think they’ve found the man dressed in a Santa suit who stabbed another passenger on a bus on Christmas Eve.

Lakewood police said Friday that the 34-year-old man identified as a suspect early on in the case was arrested this week in Walsenburg in an unrelated case out of Denver.

Police spokesman said the suspect left his cell phone behind on the bus but they weren’t able to find him because he is apparently homeless. However, investigators got a break after they noticed he was arrested and went to Walsenburg to interview him.

He’s suspected of stabbing a 31-year-old man after an argument. The victim survived.
