SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A new report shows unemployment rates in Utah and across the country have held steady for several months in a row.

The state Department of Workforce Service said Friday that Utah’s rate remained at 3.5 percent in December while the national rate held at 5 percent.

Utah’s Workforce Services Department says about 50,700 Utah residents were out of work last month and looking for a job.
