BELOIT, Wis. (AP) - A 33-year-old Beloit man has been arrested on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle in connection with a crash that killed an 82-year-old man.

Police said the crash happened at about 8 p.m. The suspect was westbound on West Grand Avenue near Hackett Street when he ran a stop sign and hit a minivan driving north in the intersection. Police determined the 33-year-old was intoxicated and speeding.

The driver of the minivan was killed. He was identified as 82-year-old Eldon Bailey of Beloit. Three of his passengers were taken to the hospital. Two were treated and released and one remained hospitalized Saturday.
