MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - The body of a woman missing for 13 months may have been discovered in western Michigan.

Roosevelt Park police Chief David Boone says the body was found after a tip Friday in a rural area of Muskegon County. State police and other investigators were called to the scene.

The Muskegon Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1UiJWUG ) says 32-year-old Bobbie Maples disappeared in December 2014, 11 days after giving birth to a girl. She lived in Roosevelt Park, near Muskegon.

The police chief says the identity of the body hasn’t been determined yet. Boone says a suspect in Maples’ disappearance is locked up in an unrelated matter.
