LAKE WYLIE, S.C. (AP) - York County sheriff’s deputies have made an arrest in the case of a man found shot to death in his Lake Wylie home.

Media outlets report 21-year-old Kevin Mauricio Arita DeJesus was arrested Thursday and charged with murder.

A news release from the York County Sheriff’s Office didn’t go into details of the investigation or arrest, and noted the investigation into the death is ongoing.

On Jan. 6, Sheriff’s deputies found Jesse Campbell dead of an apparent gunshot wound at his home on Pine Moss Lane. Deputies had to use an ax to break into the house.

A motive in the killing is unclear. York County Sheriff Bruce Bryant said investigators are looking into DeJesus’ legal status in the United States because he was in possession of a Honduran passport.
