GREENVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A Greenville man is in jail after smoking marijuana in an elementary school bathroom.

Media outlets report that Tuesday morning, deputies from the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office arrived at Unity Elementary School after receiving reports of a disruptive person at the school.

Authorities say 49-year-old Eric Alan Robinson was at the school for a parent-related issue when he visited the boy’s bathroom. A student told a faculty member that Robinson was smoking inside.

When confronted about the smell of marijuana in the bathroom, Robinson reportedly became irate and disruptive. Deputies searched Robinson and say they found a knife with a blade in excess of 2 inches and a small amount of marijuana.

Robinson was arrested on several charges, including disrupting public schools.

It isn’t clear if Robinson has an attorney.
