FITZWILLIAM, N.H. (AP) - Police say a flagger directing traffic around a work zone in New Hampshire was struck and killed.

WMUR-TV reports (bit.ly/1RFkISC) that 63-year-old Edward Weeks of Surry was hit by an SUV at about 8:30 a.m. Friday on Route 12 in Fitzwilliam. He was an employee of New England Traffic Control.

The accident remains under investigation.
